Our Approach

TeamTRACS aims to enhance and sustain healthy multidisciplinary team functioning using an adapted version of TeamSTEPPS, an evidence-based healthcare team training. TeamTRACS is an interactive training including five key modules: Team Structure and Roles, Shared Awareness, Communication, Mutual Support and Reflection, and Goal-Setting.

Key Findings

Our findings revealed that TeamTRACS significantly enhanced teamwork knowledge among participants. However, while participants found the training highly relevant and useful, there were no significant changes observed in teamwork skill use. Despite this, TeamTRACS remains a feasible and promising approach for strengthening teamwork within CACs.

Next Steps

We are dedicated to refining our TeamTRACS program to better address the needs of CAC teams. Our ongoing research aims to explore strategies to enhance and sustain implementation of TeamTRACS.
